It all started in 1982…
OK… maybe not 1982.
But I do remember my first business selling homemade embroidery floss bracelets in the 6th grade.
I thought I made it big time!
My entrepreneurial spirit was sparked and I fell in love with the creative process.
After finishing my education I started my career as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2008.
Going directly into a start-up private practice, I created a business plan, got funding, signed a lease, created systems and procedures, hired and fired staff, ran the marketing, you name it…
I was in the gauntlet of business ownership at the ripe age of 25.
But when you help little babies like this…. it makes it all worth it.
Several years in, I launched a nutrition business and learned a ton about digital marketing, leadership, and recruiting. I loved the community, simplicity, and discovered what it really meant to “trust the process”.
As my family grew I started to pare back my chiropractic practice so I could have more flexibility raising my three daughters.

In 2019, I thought it would be fun to have a local business along our little downtown main street.
I saw a need for more local art enrichment and launched The Purple Bicycle: A Kid’s Process Art Studio.
Then the world shut down… and all the rules of business changed.
It took everything I had to pivot and adjust to the new demands of the world. I’m not gonna lie… it was a tough three years.
But kids loved coming there for classes, camps, workshops, and parties! It was the “it'“ place for the artsy creative kiddo who often hoarded scraps, toilet paper rolls, and was completely obsessed with art supplies. IFYKYK
I learned a ton along the way and survived alongside my strong and passionate team that was united by a common mission.
In 2023 I passed the baton to my art studio director and took some much-needed time to re-center myself and create space for the next adventure.
But pretty quickly my brain thirsted for the thrill of growing a new business - but this time, I didn’t want it to be my own.
I wanted to help others grow.
I started working with other entrepreneurs locally who were in the throws of their own brand creation process.
I knew this would be my next adventure….
Alchemy was born.
